Draft updated: 4 October 2026 — subject to organiser approval before live ticket sales
This policy covers nexaevents.ie, contact enquiries, newsletters and the planned direct ticket-booking service. Ticket-related features described below apply when launched; this notice must be checked against the final live implementation before sales begin.
1. Controller and contact
Nexaevents, 6 Knightswood Drive, Williamstown, Waterford, Ireland, operates this website. For privacy requests contact [email protected].
2. Information collected
Depending on the service used, this may include name, email, phone number, enquiry content, newsletter subscription, booking reference, event and ticket categories, quantities, payment status and provider transaction reference, QR ticket identifier, check-in status and time, support/refund correspondence, and technical/security logs.
3. Payments and ticketing
Direct ticket sales are planned to use Stripe. Card/payment information entered through Stripe’s secure payment interface is processed by Stripe according to its applicable terms. NexaEvents should not store full card numbers or security codes in its ticket database. Booking records are used to issue tickets, send transactional emails, prevent duplicate admissions and handle customer support and refunds.
4. Purposes and lawful bases
- To respond to enquiries and administer bookings, tickets and event entry (contract or pre-contract steps).
- To maintain financial records and meet legal obligations (legal obligation).
- To protect bookings, prevent fraud, maintain website security and resolve disputes (legitimate interests, where appropriate).
- To send optional promotional newsletters where valid consent or another lawful basis applies; unsubscribe options will be provided.
5. Service providers and sharing
Information may be shared as necessary with hosting, email-delivery, payment, venue/check-in and technical-support providers, including Stripe when integrated. Access should be limited to authorised personnel. Providers may have their own privacy notices where they act as independent controllers.
6. International transfers
Where personal information is transferred outside the EEA, appropriate safeguards will be used where required under data-protection law.
7. Retention
Booking and payment records will be retained for relevant contractual, tax, accounting and dispute-resolution obligations. Check-in/security logs and enquiries will be kept only as long as necessary for their purposes. Newsletter records will be maintained until unsubscribe or other appropriate deletion, subject to minimal suppression records where necessary. Specific retention periods should be finalised before launch.
8. Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing, and withdraw consent where relied upon. You may complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission.
9. Security
Reasonable technical and organisational controls are used to protect information. Ticket QR codes and booking references should be treated as confidential. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
Event age conditions vary. Where a child’s information is required, the applicable legal basis and parental/guardian arrangements must be respected.
11. Cookies and changes
See our Cookie Policy. We may update this notice when the ticketing implementation or service providers change and will display an updated date.
12. Contact
Email [email protected] for privacy enquiries.
